It’s Raining Again – Supertramp

14002130253_3b9e60b35d_mHappy Friday, folks! It’s a gorgeous sunny day out and it’s supposed to be beautiful all weekend, too. Good news for the Belmont Stakes – we’re pulling for a Triple Crown win! In light of all these sunny thoughts, we’ll be playing a song about rain – we’re cold-hearted pessimists like that. It’ll probably rain soon anyway. Also, we just love umbrellas. This week, our Singin’ in the Rain track is Supertramp’s “It’s Raining Again.”

We love Supertramp. We’re not sorry. Of course, this track isn’t exactly “Give a Little Bit.” The tune’s biggest claim to fame may be that it’s the song Fox Networks plays when rain interrupts its NASCAR coverage. We don’t mind NASCAR, but it doesn’t generally correlate to Grammy-worthy songs. Anyway, it’s a happy-sounding track about love and loss with an Eye-of-the-Tiger twist at the end. Plus the video is a goldmine of late 70’s – early 80’s vibes. Check it out.
